Marriage Record
Wellington marries in 1911. The Ontario Marriage Archive for 1911, reference #015-271, shows:
Wellington stayed on the farm in Crosshill following the death of his wife Caroline in 1921. His niece, Myrtle Howald, recalls that Uncle Wally married a woman named Lillian in 1927 or 1928. Shortly after the couple moved from Crosshill to Buffalo, New York where family contact was lost. Wellington married Lilliam M. Henry on September 25, 1928 in Kitchener. The couple were already residing in Buffalo when they were married.
Wellington was working as a farm laborer in Stafford, New York when the 1930 census was taken. He had immigrated to the United States in 1928 which explains why Wellington needed his delayed birth registration in November of 1927. In the 1940 census, Wellington and his second wife Lillian have moved to Pembroke, New York.
